- 1. कृत्रिम गर्भाधान की IVF तकनीक से बन्नी नस्ल की भैंस के बछड़े का जन्म; IVF तकनीक से भारत में पहली बार भैंस का गर्भाधान किया गया। सरकार देश में पशुधन में सुधार लाने के लिये भैंसों के IVF को प्रोत्साहन दे रही है।
- 2. 16 दिसंबर, 2020 को बन्नी भैंसों के अंडाणु निकालने (ओपीयू) और उन्हें विकसित करके भैंस के गर्भशय में स्थापित करने (इन-विट्रो फर्टिलाइजेशन-आईवीएफ) की प्रक्रिया शुरू करने कि योजना बनाई गई।
- 3. कुल मिलाकर 29 अंडाणुओं से 18 भ्रूण विकसित हुये। इसकी बीएल दर 62 प्रतिशत रही। पंद्रह भ्रूणों को स्थापित किया गया और उनसे छह गर्भाधान हुये।

- 1. Several groups of researchers in the country are working upon solutions to reduce landslide-induced fatalities by providing early and accurate warnings so that traffic can be stopped on certain routes and people are relocated to safer places in time.
- 2. Agencies like Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology (Dehradun) and defence sector agencies like Boarder Roads Organization (BRO), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Snow and Avalanche Studies Establishment (SASE) have been carrying out studies to minimise landslide-induced accidents and provide solutions.
- 3. The cost of installing this system is around Rs 80,000 which is the cheapest for such systems across the globe with the usual costs roughly being around Rs 2 crore.

- A few months ago LML announced its comeback to the Indian two-wheeler market by venturing into the electric mobility space. The defunct automaker has now announced a strategic partnership with Saera Electric Auto, a two-wheeler producer formerly manufacturing motorcycles for Harley Davidson in India.
- This development was confirmed through a media release shared by the company. As per the agreement, Saera’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bawal, Haryana will be used to produce the upcoming LML electric vehicles. Kanpur-based LML is looking to play a big role in the rapidly rising adoption of battery-powered two-wheelers in India.
- The advanced and innovative infrastructure of Saera will now be utilised by LML to develop a wide range of EV products from the LML electric stable. The company revealed that it intends to build a future-ready manufacturing facility using Saera’s technology and processes. This is the first of the many steps taken by LML in its aim to be a 100 percent “Make in India” entity by the end of 2025.

- DRDO ने अभ्यास ड्रोन का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया, ओडिशा के चांदीपुर ITR से इसका परीक्षण किया गया, भारतीय रक्षा प्रणाली के लिए इसे अहम समझा जा रहा है
- यह हथियार प्रणाली को परीक्षण के लिए एक रियलिस्टिक खतरे का दृश्य देता है, जिसकी मदद से विभिन्न मिसाइलों या हवा में मार करने वाले हथियारों का परीक्षण किया जा सकता है।
- इस एयर व्हीकल को ट्विन अंडरस्लैंग बूस्टर का इस्तेमाल करते हुए लॉन्च किया गया। इस दौरान वैज्ञानिक उपकरणों की मदद से इसके मार्ग, स्पीड आदि की निगरानी करते रहे। यह एक छोटे से गैस टरबाइन इंजन से संचालित होता है। इसे स्वायत्त उड़ान के लिए बनाया गया है और यह अपने लक्ष्य को आसानी से भेद सकने में सक्षम है।

- 1. HAU vice-chancellor Professor B R Kamboj stated that the e-tractor can travel up to 80 km with a trailer attached to it weighing 1.5 tonnes and also move at a top speed of 23.17 km per hour.
- 2. There are about 80 lakh tractors in India of which about 4 lakh tractors are in the state of Haryana.

- A new MEMU train has been sanctioned for Kerala. As per the notification issued by the Southern Railway, an unreserved expressed special train on Mangalore–Kannur route will be operated with 12 car MEMU rakes from January 26
- It is learnt that the train will be having a total of 12 bogies. However, no decision has been taken on matters including the schedule of the train.
- The decision to sanction a MEMU train was taken upon a meeting of Kerala MPs with the General Manager of the Southern Railway.

- 3. बाढ़ से मचने वाले जलप्रलय से बचाव के लिए इस प्रोजेक्ट पर एनआईटी हमीरपुर और आईआईआरएस के विशेषज्ञ जुटे हैं। मुख्यत जियोग्राफिकल सिस्टम (जीआईएस) तकनीक पर आधारित इस शोध कार्य में बारिश मापने के यंत्र और कंक्रीट वेयर का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा।

- 1. The Stealth Wing Flying Testbed (SWiFT), a UAV developed by the DRDO's Aeronautical Development Establishment.
- 2. The SWiFT is being developed as a technology demonstrator for the DRDO's secretive programme to create an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).
- 3. DRDO had previously indicated that SWiFT was a project to demonstrate technologies for controlling the flying wing configuration and flight characteristics at high-subsonic speed.

- 1. India is among the select few countries which are developing hypersonic weapons, an independent Congressional report has said.
- 2. India has collaborated with Russia on the development of BrahMos II, a Mach 7 hypersonic cruise missile, the CRS report said.
- 3. The Department of Defence (DOD) is currently developing hypersonic weapons under the Navy’s Conventional Prompt Strike programme, which is intended to provide the US military with the ability to strike hardened or time-sensitive targets with conventional warheads, as well as through several Air Force, Army and DARPA programmes, the CRS said.
